How we began?

Teacher, founder and managing director, Teacher Anne Tham got her first glimpse of college teaching in 1987. Through her years dealing with college students, Teacher Anne saw a lack of academic skills required at college level. A high percentage of students don’t have the skills or the language level necessary for tertiary education. School leavers and graduates can neither write nor speak English well. And having worked with Canadian lecturers in college, Teacher Anne realized that fluent speakers and writers learn differently.

Overwhelmed by the lack in the students and knowing how to make it right. Teacher Anne finally started the ACE EdVenture programme in 1995. The idea is to provide students the essential foundation to learning the academic skills required and effectively tackling this lack as early as from the primary years. While training students to be analytical thinkers and independent learners, we also empower them to be incredibly creative and confident.

In 2007, we introduced our Maths and Science programme – developed by Teacher Melinda Lim, an engineer by qualification. Just like Teacher Anne, she realized that many Malaysian students’ struggle with the inability to comprehend mathematical and scientific concepts. Because of that, they end up memorizing and not have the full understanding of them. Our Maths and Science programme is to help students to understand concepts and go ‘Oh…...’ And with that, students will be able to find solutions to any Maths and Science question independently.

Our students love our programme so much and dream of ACE EdVenture version of a school.

Throughout all these years, we’ve educated students in the thousands. And these thousands are our walking testimonies to your programme today.
